Weekend Trip to Chattanooga

Matt & I both just worked half a day on Friday and then we left for Chattanooga after lunch. We stayed at the Chattanooga Choo Choo. We were able to check in our hotel and then ride the shuttle to the Aquarium for a quick visit. Anna Beth loved the fish and keep saying "I get them" while trying to climb into the tanks! We had dinner at the Mellow Mushroom which is the first time we had ever eaten there. It was really good. I guess we will have to go the one in Huntsville now! After we got back to the hotel, we walked around the shops and visited the Choo-Choo. Of course, we had to make time to stop for ice cream!

Saturday morning we got up and went to the Chattanooga Zoo. It was a sad, little zoo! There weren't any tigers, lions, giraffes, or elephants. None of the animals you would expect to see at the zoo! We laughed because they had raccoons, goats, deer...you know, animals we see on a daily basis at home! Oh well, they did have some things. Anna Beth liked the monkeys and seemed to enjoy the zoo experience! After we left the zoo, we decided to go to Rock City. There were several times we had to park our stroller and carry Anna Beth down flights of stairs. It was fun, but made me a little nervous being that high up with Anna Beth.

We had a great time together as a family. It seems like here lately we have had so much going on that we haven't had a lot of family time!

Fun trip! Chris was disappointed because you didn't show the bobcat.

Looks like you had a good trip! I haven't been to any of that stuff since I was a kid...I hope I can still make it through "Fat Man's Squeeze" if we decide to take the kids sometime.
